The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is looking into an incident of cocaine found in former President Joe Biden's White House in 2023, as well as the 2022 leaked Supreme Court draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade, reported Xinhua.
Dan Bongino, the bureau's deputy director and former conservative talk show host, announced the probes in an X post on Monday. The decision to "re-open, or push additional resources and investigative attention" to these cases was made together with FBI Director Kash Patel.
"Shortly after swearing in, the Director and I evaluated a number of cases of potential public corruption that, understandably, have garnered public interest," Bongino wrote.
The nation's premier federal law enforcement bureau will also be focusing on the case of an unknown suspect planting pipe bombs near the Republican and Democratic national committees' Washington headquarters in January 2021 before the deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol tied to the certification of Biden's White House victory in the 2020 election, according to USA Today.
