Vinicius suffers hamstring injury

Real Madrid are sweating on the fitness of Brazilian international forward Vinicius Jr after he suffered a hamstring injury in the first half of their 1-0 win away to Celta Vigo on Friday night, reported Xinhua.

Vinicius pulled up in a chase for the ball in the 10th minute of the game, and although he returned to the action wearing a compression bandage, he lasted just five more minutes on the pitch before being substituted by Joselu.

Real Madrid won the game 1-0, thanks to a late header from Jude Bellingham, but Vinicius' injury could be a problem for coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Although Joselu joined from Espanyol during the summer and attacking midfielder Brahim Diaz who was an unused substitute in Vigo also came back after his loan at AC Milan, the club perhaps lacks a striker after Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio and Mariano Diaz all left over the summer.
