Pakistani security forces killed eight alleged terrorists during two operations in the country's southwestern Balochistan province, the military said on Tuesday, reported Xinhua.
The security forces conducted the operations in two different areas of the Kalat district of the province on reported presence of terrorists, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, said in a statement.
During one of the operations, four terrorists were killed by security forces in the Kalat district, said the ISPR statement, adding that earlier, another four terrorists were also successfully neutralized in an intelligence-based operation.
It said that the terrorists' hideouts were also busted, and a large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered during the operations.
The military said the security forces of Pakistan are determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan province.
