At least 36 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces in Gaza on Saturday, international media reported, quoting Gaza civil defence agency.
Six of the victims died in a shooting near a US-backed aid distribution centre.
Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Saturday issued an evacuation warning for residents in two areas of the northern Gaza Strip ahead of strikes, reported Xinhua.
The warning applies to the Abd al-Rahman neighborhood in the northwest of Gaza City and the Nahda neighborhood in the Jabalia refugee camp, IDF spokesperson Avichay Adraee announced on social media platform X.
"This is an advance warning before the attack. The IDF will strike every area that is used to launch rockets," the warning read, urging residents "evacuate immediately to the south."
Earlier, The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Israel Security Agency (ISA) said in a joint statement on Saturday that they had recovered the body of a Thai national who was abducted alive during the Hamas attack on southern Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.
The body of 36-year-old farm worker Nattapong Pinta was recovered in a joint operation by the IDF and the ISA in Rafah, southern Gaza Strip, on Friday.
He was kidnapped by a militant group called the Mujahedeen Brigades from the Israeli village of Nir Oz and was murdered while in captivity, according to the statement.
It noted that the operation was enabled by intelligence gathered during an ISA interrogation of a "terrorist," along with information provided by the IDF's Hostage Task Force and the Intelligence Directorate.
The IDF has informed the victim's family, the Thai government, and the Nir Oz community.
The IDF and the ISA mentioned that the Mujahideen Brigades abducted, held, and murdered Israeli mother Shiri Bibas and her two young sons, Ariel and Kfir Bibas, whose bodies were returned in February this year.
It also held the bodies of the Nir Oz couple, Gad Haggai and Judi Lynn Weinstein, which were recovered from the southern Gaza Strip in an operation earlier this week.
The statement added that the Mujahideen have also murdered and are holding the body of another foreign national.
Israel continues to strike the Gaza Strip as the Palestinian enclave grapples with worsening humanitarian conditions, marked by large-scale destruction, limited access to aid, as well as severe shortages of food, water, and medical supplies.
